Williams on the Lake

When you’re planning a wedding in Brunswick, you want to know your celebration will feel yours. No shared hallways, no overlapping ceremonies, and no strangers wandering through your cocktail hour. At Williams on the Lake, we designed our property with two fully independent venues so you never have to worry about another event happening during yours.

Why Separate Venue Change Everything for Your Wedding Day

Having two distinct venues on one property means that when you book Lakeside South or Lakeside East, that entire venue belongs exclusively to your celebration. You’re not sharing a building with another wedding happening down the hall. From the moment your first guest arrives until your last dance ends, every indoor space, every outdoor area connected to your venue, and every staff member assigned to you is focused only on your wedding.

You Get Total Privacy From Arrival to Last Dance

Both Lakeside South and Lakeside East sit on our 26-acre property with the private 11-acre lake between them. When you book one of our venues, that space is exclusively yours for the entire rental period. Your guests won’t run into another wedding party in the parking lot. Your photographer won’t have to work around someone else’s timeline.

While you’re getting ready in your wedding party suite, your guests arrive to a space that belongs only to your celebration. When you move from your ceremony at the Courtyard and Gazebo to your reception inside Lakeside South, everything flows without navigating around another group. The deck overlooking the lake, the grapevine walkway, and the landscaped waterfall are all part of your private space for the day.

Flexible Capacity Without Compromising the Experience

Lakeside South accommodates up to 315 guests for your reception and seats up to 270 for ceremonies at the Courtyard and Gazebo. The venue includes skylights and cathedral ceilings, a built-in stage with lighting and sound systems, and two 85″ monitors.

If you’re planning a more intimate celebration, Lakeside East works for up to 200 reception guests or 160 ceremony guests at the Moon Gate Patio. The natural stone fireplace and French doors opening to the deck create a warm atmosphere.

Because we have two distinct venues instead of one large space with dividers, you get architecture designed for your guest count. Each venue has its own character, its own outdoor access, and ceremony locations.

Your Event Coordinator Focuses Only on You

Our professional event coordinators work with one wedding at a time. When you’re at Williams on the Lake, your coordinator isn’t splitting attention between two events. She’s dedicated to your timeline, your family dynamics, and the details you care about most.

This makes a difference during setup, when you’re finalizing table arrangements. It matters during cocktail hour, when timing needs to shift because photos are running long. Your coordinator can respond immediately because she’s not juggling another celebration happening simultaneously on the property.

Outdoor Spaces Stay Exclusively Yours

Both venues include dedicated outdoor ceremony sites with views of the lake. At Lakeside South, couples use the Courtyard and Gazebo surrounded by mature trees. At Lakeside East, the Moon Gate Patio provides a romantic lakeside ceremony backdrop. When you book your venue, these outdoor areas are part of your private space.

The lake itself serves as your scenic backdrop for portraits. It’s there for visual beauty, and our insurance requires that guests stay out of the water. But as a photo location, it gives you golden hour shots with natural light reflecting off the water. Because you have exclusive use of your venue’s grounds, your photographer can work without time pressure.

One Price Per Person Keeps Planning Simple

We structure our all-inclusive packages with one price per person and no hidden fees. Your package includes your ceremony site, white padded folding chairs, additional venue time and rehearsal coordination, exclusive use of your chosen venue, personal event coordinator, tables with linens, china, glassware and flatware, professional service staff, custom décor assistance from our in-house decorators, and award-winning catering.

Conclusion

We provide all catering in-house, with exceptions allowed for religious reasons. Our bar is also in-house only. This approach works because we’re not managing multiple events with different timelines. Our team prepares for your celebration specifically, and our catering kitchen operates on your schedule.

Ready to see how two separate venues create a truly private wedding experience? We’re a family-owned venue, and we’ve been creating stress-free weddings since 1985. When you visit, you’ll see both Lakeside South and Lakeside East so you can choose the venue that fits your guest count and style.

Our property is located at 787 Lafayette Road in Medina, about 30 minutes from both Cleveland and Akron. Brunswick couples appreciate that their guests can reach us easily. Ample on-site parking and wheelchair accessibility throughout both venues mean everyone arrives comfortably.

FAQs

Do I have to choose between Lakeside South and Lakeside East when I book?

Yes, you’ll select one venue based on your guest count and preferred style. Lakeside South accommodates up to 315 reception guests and features cathedral ceilings with a built-in stage. Lakeside East works for up to 200 guests and offers a more intimate atmosphere with a natural stone fireplace. Both include dedicated outdoor ceremony sites and exclusive use of all connected spaces.

Can we bring our own caterer or alcohol?

We provide all catering in-house, with exceptions allowed for religious reasons. Our bar service is also in-house only, and outside alcohol is not permitted. This policy helps us maintain the quality and timing of service throughout your event.

How far in advance should we book for a fall wedding?

Fall dates book quickly because the mature trees surrounding our lake create beautiful seasonal color. We recommend reaching out as soon as you have a date in mind, especially for September and October celebrations.

Is the lake accessible to guests during our event?

The lake serves as a scenic backdrop for photos, but our insurance requires that guests not enter the water or fish. It’s there for visual beauty and provides stunning reflections for your portraits during golden hour.
